The Muskegon Chiefs Amateur Hockey Association (MCAHA) is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. For over twenty (20) years, our organization's main goal has been providing the youth of the greater Muskegon area the opportunity to grow and develop as individuals in the great sport of hockey. Through participation in this team sport, our programs will provide:
- The development and encouragement of sportsmanship between all players for the betterment of physical and social well-being
- Encouragement and improvement in the quality of ice hockey in Western Michigan
- Both instructional and competitive ice hockey opportunities to its members
- Association with the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), USA Hockey, and other hockey associations
- Help to defray the expense associated with ice hockey and team events through fundraisers
- Any and all acts desirable in the furtherance of the foregoing purposes
Our USA Hockey certified coaches, governed by a review board, are taught to stress that putting forth an individual's best effort is of primary importance. If an individual can increase his or her self-esteem, physical ability and have fun while doing so, we have accomplished our goals. |
